A new alpha for Counterpact has been released. This update contains the following changes:
Balancing Adjustments:
- Back Alley Invitation bonuses now start decreasing one full second after unchaining the target.
- Back Alley Invitation bonuses now initially decrease at a slow speed, with this speed increasing over time.
- Hitting an enemy with Back Alley Invitation's attack now pauses the bonus decrease and resets the bonus decrease speed.
- A toggleable option to continuously jump while holding up on the Movement analog has been added.
- Toggleable options to attack while pressing the Ability analog have been added for certain characters.
- This option is available for the Reaper, the Angel, and the Dream.
- Game servers in the server browser will now be pinged.
Game Server Administration:
- Player IDs can now be used to grant game server administrator to players.
- Players can now be muted with the /mute command, followed by their Player ID. This can be undone with the /unmute command.
- Muted players will still be able to play and use emotes, but they will not be able to send messages in the chat.
- Players can now be kicked with the /kick command, followed by their Player ID.
- When kicking players, they will instantly be removed from the server. However, they will be able to rejoin afterwards.
- Players can now be banned with the /ban command, followed by their Player ID. This can be undone with the /unban command.
- When banning players, they will instantly be removed from the server. Unlike kicking, they will not be able to rejoin, unless they are unbanned.
Miscellaneous:
- Back Alley Invitation's knife now appears out of pocket while bonuses are active, regardless of whether or not the chain is currently out.
- The item shop is now available.
- Currently, only weapons are listed in the item shop. In the future, other item types (such as cosmetics exclusive to the item shop) may be listed as well.
- Weapons in the item shop have the Common rarity. This allows them to be recycled, traded, and refined. Furthermore, the miniscule chance to obtain a Decorated item is also applied to any item purchased from the item shop.
- Alternate weapons with the Exclusive rarity will no longer be given out.
- Items can now be refined, provided the player has enough of that item.
- Refining an item consumes every instance of that item (within the required amount) and exchanges them for a Refined version of the item.
- Refined is a rarity that shows how dedicated a player is to collecting a specific item, and includes a unique Decoration that cannot be awarded by any other type of item.
- Common items require 100 of that item to be refined. Uncommon items require 50 of that item to be refined. Rare items require 25 of that item to be refined.
- Player IDs are now displayed after a player's name in the scoreboard and chat.
- Player IDs are now displayed with a prefixed hash symbol, and appended to the player's name (if the player's name is visible).
- The chat can now be opened with a button on the gamepad (this is primarily for mobile players, who previously had no way of opening the chat while using a gamepad).
- Characters' run animation speed will now reflect permanent run speed adjustments provided by their weapons.
- The Eclipsium returned by recycling an item now appears at the end of its description while recycling items.
- The main menu and in-game menu have been revamped.
- Revamped the system used for pinging game servers in the server browser.
- Chat messages can now be sent to everyone by using /all or /a, or to your team by using /team or /t (this is primarily for mobile players, who previously had no way to switch between chat recipients without changing the default option).
- Duplicate instances of an item now appear in a single slot (except when Posting or Offering items), with the total count of that item being displayed in the top right corner of the icon.
- The chance to receive a Decorated item has been increased from 0.1% (1 in 1000) to 0.4% (1 in 250).
