By registering or using a Counterpact account, you hereby agree to the following terms. Failure to comply with these terms will result in restricted access to Counterpact.
- Do not use player names containing hate speech, targeted harassment, or other offensive content.
- Failure to comply will result in a temporary ban.
- Do not send messages containing hate speech, targeted harassment/verbal abuse, or other offensive content in the in-game chat.
- Failure to comply will typically result in a temporary mute; in severe cases, a temporary ban may be issued instead.
- Do not cheat under any circumstance.
- Failure to comply will result in a permanent ban.
- Do not intentionally abuse* game-breaking bugs.
- Failure to comply will result in a temporary ban, likely until the bug is fixed.
- * What is considered intentional abuse will be left to the discretion of the moderators. Clearly accidental exploitation will not be punished.
- Do not deliberately scam* other players via trading.
- Failure to comply with result in a ban from trading.
- * Scamming refers to actions (such as falsely promising to do something interesting with the item before returning it to the player) that manipulate another player into giving you an item they would not have normally given you otherwise. If a player gives you an item well under its commonly perceived cost of their own volition, this does not constitute a scam.
- Do not host servers or maps containing hate speech, targeted harassment, sexually explicit imagery, felonious materials, or other offensive content.
- Failure to comply will result in the server being blacklisted, and any associated accounts receiving a ban (the length of which depends on the nature of the offensive content).
- Do not use alternate accounts, alternate machines, or proxy servers to avoid punishments for broken rules.
- Failure to comply will result in a ban being applied to all related accounts, regardless of the original offense.
- When using Label Guns, do not apply Custom Labels containing hate speech, targeted harassment/verbal abuse, or other offensive content.
- Failure to comply with typically result in the Custom Label being removed without a refund. Repeated offenses or removing an offending Custom Label in an attempt to avoid punishment will likely result in a temporary ban.
In the case of temporary punishments, repeated offenses will result in longer punishments. Enough repeated offenses may result in a permanent punishment.
